‘Unbearable pain’: Little River shooting victim, attorney hold news conference

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. (WBTW) — One of the victims of last month’s party-boat mass shooting in Little River held a news conference Wednesday morning with his attorney, who says the incident happened “for no reason.”

Jeremy Evans, who was one of 10 people shot in the May 25 incident, has retained civil rights attorney Tyler Bailey of the Bailey Law Firm.

“Back on May 25, when this shooting happened — for no reason — this should’ve been a good night, a good day,” Bailey said. “Then, for no reason that justified a firearm being pulled, you have multiple shots that went off. Ten people who were hit, including Mr. Evans.”…
