United Way of Greater Toledo launches emergency food fund to help meet summertime demand

TOLEDO, Ohio — As inflation and grocery prices continue to stay high, and with the impacts of federal tariffs and financial cuts to assistance programs, the United Way of Greater Toledo has launched a new emergency food fund for those in need in northwest Ohio.

It’s called United for Food, and to help support the campaign, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, D-Toledo, personally donated $2,500.
