PILSEN — Pilsen neighbors and activists expressed a mixture of tension and concern one day after immigration agents made public arrests that witnesses and local leaders say were done without proper warrants.
The arrests occurred about 8 a.m. Monday, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, as well as other officials in FBI vests, arresting one man at the restaurant Carnitas Don Pedro, 1113 W. 18th St., and another at his home around the corner in the 1800 block of South Carpenter Avenue.
