Convicted felon arrested, accused of having stolen gun in his pants during Tulsa foot chase

Tulsa Police arrest a previously convicted felon accused leading police on a foot chase with a stolen gun in his pants, according to the department’s Facebook post.

Officers said they responded to a disturbance call with a weapon around 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at a home near 56th Street North and Peoria Avenue. Police said they learned this was a domestic situation.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect, later identified as Richard Jefferson, standing in the middle of the road. That’s when police said Jefferson took off running and a short foot chase pursued…
