Anchorage parks crews plant thousands of flowers to brighten Town Square Park

Rain or shine, summer is in full swing — and Anchorage Parks and Recreation crews are getting to work transforming Town Square Park with vibrant flower displays.

Throughout the week, workers will fill all ten flower beds with thousands of blooms, bringing color and life to the downtown space. While it may not look like much yet, Parks and Rec staff say the beds will soon burst with a variety of seasonal flowers.

In addition to Town Square, crews will be planting flower beds across Anchorage, along with hanging baskets that help brighten downtown sidewalks and storefronts during the summer months…
