Meet Chad Bianco Friday evening at Jensen Hall — the man who wants to be California’s next governor

Hosted by Jason Ingram and the Cole family, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco — who has already announced his campaign for governor in 2026 — appears at 5 p.m. Friday, June 6 at Jensen Hall at the Lassen County Fairgrounds.

Bianco, a 30-year veteran of the sheriff’s office, currently serves as the chief law enforcement officer of Riverside County, overseeing the county’s five jail facilities, six court buildings, a civil bureau, the Coroner’s Bureau, Public Administrator’s Office, 12 patrol stations, 17 contract cities, 4,200 dedicated employees and an operating budget of just over $1 billion.

The Republican hopeful said he was giving up his perfect job in law enforcement to tackle a bigger and more important one — serving as the governor of California.

Even though the election won’t be held until November 2026 Bianco said he’s one of a handful of Republicans and about a dozen Democrats who have thrown their hats in the ring so far.
