Here we are, finally, in June — yippee! I’m sure everyone is thrilled we’ve made it past this blustery, wet winter. May was cool, with a few warmer days, some strong wind gusts, and occasional rain. I’m not complaining — as far as I’m concerned, the rain is always welcome. It’s the cold weather and wind that I dislike most. The official first day of summer is June 20. Make the most of this year’s summer, as it flies by quickly.

The heavy rains this past winter created numerous potholes around Rio Nido. Our community also has many natural springs that emerge during the wet months.
