Amputee sea turtle Dilly Dally returns to ocean after rescue

JUPITER, Fla. (CBS12) — A sea turtle named Dilly Dally found its way back to the ocean following a daring rescue.

Dilly Dally, a subadult loggerhead sea turtle and amputee patient, was released back into the ocean by the Loggerhead Marinelife Center on Wednesday.

The three-finned sea turtle was rescued by the Inwater Research Group in Port St. Lucie after they were found debilitated by severe predator bite wounds. Due to the severity of the sea turtle’s wounds, Dilly Dally lost its right front flipper, according to the news release…
