KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A speeding driver has been blamed for a crash that sent an individual waiting on a Kansas City bus to the hospital in critical condition.
The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department says that just after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, emergency crews were called to the area of 39th and Blue Ridge Cutoff with reports of a crash that involved a pedestrian.
When first responders arrived, they said they learned that the driver of a light green Mercury had been speeding northbound on Blue Ridge Cutoff. As he passed other vehicles carelessly, he lost control of the car and hit a tree, along with a pedestrian who had been waiting for the bus in the grassy area…
