RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Reno City Council unanimously approved a contract to explore a Park Service Plan after a series of public comments in support of Wednesday, June 4’s agenda item.
“What the service plan does is give us the framework and the feasibility for us to create a Park District,” said Nathan Ullyot, Reno’s Director of Parks and Recreation. “A Park District is something that would allow us to, in any sort of variable, to have a dedicated funding source to support our parks and recreation system.”
