KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — East Tennessee Realtors released their May 2025 Market Pulse report recently. The report compared metrics in the East Tennessee housing market between April 2024 and April 2025.
The report said the housing inventory had increased by 25.6% compared to last April. The median also increased to $375,000, up 6% from last year. Almost half of all house sales sold for the asking price or higher, but, overall, house sales were flat.
The report described April home sales in East Tennessee as “sluggish,” similar to a trend realtors are seeing across the country. It attributed that to “consumer spending hesitancy, and the type and quantity of available inventory.”…
