Nearly three decades ago, KHYI’s Texas Music Revolution began as a humble gathering of local music lovers. Today, it’s a full-blown North Texas tradition, drawing thousands of fans to the heart of Downtown McKinney each summer.
What started as a small showcase evolved into a two-day celebration of Texas’ musical roots and rising stars, complete with food vendors, multiple stages and a streetscape that feels tailor-made for the soundtrack of the Lone Star State.
The 2025 edition continues that legacy, with a lineup that strikes a chord between heritage and discovery. Held across June 6-7, TMR takes over the historic square with performances, pop-ups and a charming atmosphere only McKinney can offer.

The 2025 Lineup: A Soundtrack for All Tastes
This year’s headliners include a mix of genre trailblazers and fresh voices:
- Flatland Cavalry – The Lubbock-born band known for heartfelt songwriting and energetic live sets is helping define the new wave of Texas Country.
- Dawes – L.A.-based folk-rockers with rich harmonies and a timeless sound that bridges indie and Americana.
Other featured performers include:
- The Wilder Blue – A Texas supergroup bringing rootsy harmonies with a modern edge
- Silverada – High-energy road warriors with a raw, commanding sound
- Lola Kirke – Actress turned Americana artist with a bold, genre-mixing flair
Also taking the stage are Jamie Richards, John Baumann, Bri Bagwell, Maylee Thomas Band, Cole Phillips, Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights and many more — each adding to TMR’s diverse musical tapestry.
