DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man was arrested after reportedly stealing a vehicle with a child inside Thursday afternoon.
Several Dayton Police Department cruisers were spotted in the area of Woodman Drive and Linden Avenue around 4:30 p.m. on June 5. Police on scene told 2 NEWS they apprehended a suspect in an alleged kidnapping incident.
Haitian community in Springfield facing uncertain future
Police say the initial call was for an assault on E. Third Street earlier this afternoon. There, a 34-year-old suspect reportedly assaulted the mother of his child before taking the keys and vehicle with the 2-year-old child still in the backseat.
DPD says the suspect does not have any custody of the child, in addition to having a warrant out of Kentucky for violent crimes…
