Man charged after attack leaves woman seriously injured in Antioch

ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man faces several felony charges after he allegedly threatened to kill a detective following an assault that left a woman seriously injured in Antioch, officials said.

According to arrest documents, officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department were sent to a Burger King in the 5300 block of Hickory Hollow Pike on Wednesday, June 4 after a woman called police to report that she had been assaulted.

When police arrived, the woman reportedly appeared disoriented and confused. Officials said she was able to identify the suspect as Michael Barnett, adding that he had facial tattoos, but suffered from a seizure before she could provide any additional information.

The woman was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition, per court documents…
