Metro Police increase security as CMA Fest kicks off in Downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — As CMA Fest officially begins, bringing thousands of country music fans to the streets of downtown Nashville, Metro Police are ramping up security to ensure a safe and smooth experience for all.

The department is treating the four-day event like a major security operation, deploying hundreds of officers throughout the downtown area and working closely with the Nashville Department of Transportation (NDOT) to install barriers and fencing.
