CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) -A driver has been arrested after leading state police on a high-speed chase on I-95 in Chesterfield Thursday afternoon.
Around 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, a Virginia State Police trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a car going 89 mph in a posted 60 mph zone northbound on I-95 near the 61-mile marker.
“The vehicle failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed, initiating a pursuit,” VSP said in a release. “During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle struck a minivan, which then collided with the jersey wall. The suspect vehicle continued northbound and ultimately crashed near the 63-mile marker, where it came to a stop.”…
