(KRON) — Philippine Independence Day is on June 12, but celebrations are starting early this weekend in San Jose. Organized by Filipino Americans Coming Together San Jose, the fourth annual Full Jeepney Jam takes place this Friday, June 6.
NPR Tiny Desk winner Ruby Ibarra is set to headline the festivities with a performance lineup of various Filipino-American artists from the Bay Area, such as Aranina, Yamz and Rheyanna May.
The celebration will be at the San Jose Flea Market on 1590 Berryessa Road from 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Admission is free for all ages, and there is a $5 fee for on-site parking. The event is a short walk away from the Berryessa/North San Jose BART station…
