Syracuse Police report major decline in car theft cases

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Car thefts in Syracuse are significantly down, dropping more than 50% in the first half of 2025.

According to the Syracuse Police Department, the number of stolen vehicles has decreased by 51.5% citywide.
