Hamilton Pool closed due to high bacteria levels

DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas — Visitors are not allowed to get into waters at Hamilton Pool Preserve after high bacteria levels were discovered in the popular swimming hole, Travis County Parks officials said this week.

The closure is due to recent rain in the Austin area. It’s unclear what kind of bacteria is present in the water.
