The Florida League of Cities has recognized key Boca Raton officials as 2025 Home Rule Heroes for their strong advocacy during the most recent Legislative Session. Mayor Scott Singer, Council Members Yvette Drucker and Marc Wigder, along with City Manager George Brown, were honored for their dedicated efforts to protect and promote local governance and support the League’s legislative priorities.
FLC’s Casey Cook hailed the resolve of these officials who didn’t back down when it came to pushing for local discretion in governance, he said in a statement obtained by the city’s website, “The dedication and effort of these local officials who tirelessly advocated for local decision-making was a difference-maker this legislative session.” The League’s recognition highlights the officials’ proactive engagement with Florida lawmakers, offering them a firsthand perspective on the challenges cities face.
