DUBLIN, Calif. (KRON) — A Federal Express truck caught fire on the eastbound lanes of I-580 in Dublin late Friday morning. As of 11:19 a.m., the California Highway Patrol is advising that a severe traffic alert has been issued and the right lanes are blocked.

The truck caught fire on I-580 east of Foothill Road. There was no immediate word on injuries or what caused the fire.
Drivers are advised to expect delays, use alternate routes, and avoid the area.
