ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – The Alachua County Commission continues its community listening sessions for the Forward Focus initiative. The next session is on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Hall Chapel United Methodist Church (6025 SE County Road 234, Gainesville).
The Forward Focus initiative is designed to enhance quality of life, boost economic opportunities, and address community needs in eastern Alachua County. Following productive meetings in Hawthorne, Waldo, Micanopy, Monteocha, Island Grove/Cross Creek, and Melrose, the project team will hold an additional session this month, focusing on the Rochelle, Windsor, and Grove Park communities. All Alachua County residents, community leaders, and business owners are encouraged to attend, as this will be one of the Forward Focus Team’s final Community Listening Sessions in its first stage…
