BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A former Lancaster police officer was charged after he allegedly rammed his vehicle through a gate at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport and proceeded to drive through secure areas — including the runway — last month, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
James R. Muench Jr., 45, of Depew, was driving a pickup truck around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 20 when he intentionally and repeatedly crashed into and broke through Gate 1 at the airport, the attorney’s office said.
