PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) – It’s not the vacation dozens of visitors to Pigeon Forge expected when they woke up to the crashing of mud and cars when a piece of the mountain broke away.
It trapped them for more than six hours. Some of the people were headed home Friday, others have been moved to a new place for the remainder of their stay. They all wonder why this piece of the mountain would fall when we’ve been dry for a few days.
Excavation crews were on site just an hour after vacationers woke up to a chunk of the mountain sliding down and crashing into cars and cabins…
