Rapper Lil Wayne will make three stops in Texas, including one in The Woodlands, on an extensive tour this summer and fall to support his new album.
The five-time Grammy award winner released his 14th album on Friday, “Tha Carter VI,” the latest in his “Carter” series that has spanned two decades. His tour of the same name will make stops in 34 cities from June through October.
The album is Lil Wayne’s first in five years. It’s his first “Carter” album, which honors his birth name Dwayne Carter Jr., in nearly seven years. Along with Lil Wayne’s fast rhymes and signature high pitch, the album includes contributions from rappers 2 Chainz and Big Sean, U2’s Bono and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli…
