After nearly 20 years of leading First Baptist Christian School in downtown Lafayette, principal Susan Emerson is retiring.
Under Emerson’s leadership, the school expanded to a K-12 campus and had its first graduating class of seniors in 2019.
“Being a part of students’ lives since 1976 has given me rich blessings, and I intend to continue wonderful relationships with all of you,” she said in a statement. “Seeing and knowing that students accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior has been, and will always be, of utmost importance to me.”…
