“Chief Happiness Officer?” That’s a real job?
“Wheel of Fortune” viewers were recently left scratching their heads, and some even crying foul, over a puzzle that had them questioning the sanity of the game show’s writers. Contestant Paulomi Dholakia correctly guessed the unusual occupation, even expressing uncertainty in her own answer.
Host Ryan Seacrest seemed equally surprised, remarking, “I wasn’t aware that was a thing either, but every company should have one.”
The puzzle sparked a heated debate online. Redditors on the Wheel of Fortune subreddit didn’t hold back, with one user declaring it the “stupidest puzzle ever.”
Another confessed, “I guessed the words but then I was like nope can’t be that… and then it was lol.” Some fans criticized the show’s writers for what they perceived as increasingly bizarre puzzle choices.
Despite her early victory, Dholakia’s luck ran out. Fellow contestant Celina Alvarado ultimately triumphed, securing $30,350 and a trip to Costa Rica.
Alvarado’s journey ended in the Bonus Round, however, where she faced a frustrating puzzle: “TRI_I_ _ _ _ _.” The elusive answer, “Trivia Buff,” cost her a hefty $75,000 bonus.
One YouTube commenter lamented, “The $75,000 envelope is obviously cursed at this point since no one won it at all this season.” Others sympathized with Alvarado, acknowledging the difficulty of the puzzle.
