GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — On Saturday, several West Michigan communities are celebrating Pride Month with parades and festivities.
MUSKEGON
At 10 a.m., Hackley Park in Muskegon will hold Muskegon Pride’s LGBTQIA2S+ friendly festival. It will celebrate the diverse and welcoming community while highlighting LGBTQIA2S+-owned businesses, a release said.
The event will kick off with a free parade at 7th Street and Western Avenue. It will head down Western Avenue to 3rd Street.
“Muskegon Pride Festival and Pride Parade celebrate diversity and love with a unifying spirit. Our city is pleased and privileged to host these events, which contribute to the beautiful mosaic that is our magnificent Muskegon,” Mayor Ken Johnson said in a release.

SAUGATUCK
The PRIDE Care-A-Van Parade is starting at 10:30 a.m. at Saugatuck High School. From noon to 6 p.m., PRIDE in the Park will be held at Beery Field. The event will feature performances by Sixteen Candles and other local favorites.
LOWELL
Lowell Pride’s fifth annual Pride Festival begins at 10:30 a.m. and will focus on “building community, standing in defiance of hate, and creating a place where every LGBTQIA+ person and ally knows they are seen, loved, and celebrated,” a release said.
“In a time when our rights, our identities, and our very existence are being challenged, Pride isn’t just a celebration, it’s an act of RESISTANCE. It`s a declaration that we are HERE, we are PROUD, and we are never going back,” a release said.
KALAMAZOO
On day two of Kalamazoo Pride 2025, gates open to the public at 2 p.m. at Arcadia Creek Festival Place. The event will include vendors, musical performances and more. The after-party will take place at Bell’s Brewery, featuring Idiot Kids. Doors open at 10 p.m…
