‘End the cycle, stop gun violence’: Savannah Impact event

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah Impact Program partnered with local city officials to help educate younger people on the real-life consequences of guns Friday.

City leaders spoke to elementary age kids on engaging in violence. Deputy criminal chief Greg Gilluly touched on a shooting in Statesboro that involved a 4-year-old who shot himself with a gun that was not stored properly.

“I think one of the biggest problems is kids who are curious who will touch guns and as a result of playing with the gun, they get killed,” Gilluly said…
