LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Silent Wings Museum is inviting everyone to come out and commemorate the 81st anniversary of D-Day on Sunday.
The official anniversary of the Normandy invasion was Friday, but the museum hopes visitors will stop by this weekend to reflect on the serivce and sacrifice of the more than 500 allied glider pilots who landed behind enemy lines in Normandy on June 6th and 7th, carrying supplies, troops and vehicles.
