Putting for Miracles: A family-friendly tournament giving kids a fighting chance

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Putting for Miracles held its third annual charity mini golf tournament on Saturday. The event, held at Leisure Lanes in Lancaster, raised money for the Children’s Miracle Network as well as the Hudsen Memorial Ride.

The idea came to Putting for Miracles Director David Chobanoff back in May of 2022, and by August of that same year, the organization was planning its first event.

“[During] our first one, we raised over $5,000,” said Chobanoff. “We only had 60 participants. We didn’t have music, we didn’t have food [and] we didn’t have vendors. It was kind of a stumbling block that was like ‘Ok. Now, what can we do better?”…
