Nashville’s Red Caboose Park Concert Canceled Due to Severe Weather, Alternate Plans for Big Band Dance in Place

Nashville’s Metro Parks Music Summer Concerts encounter a stormy setback as the Red Caboose Concert Series has been canceled for this Friday due to severe weather forecasts. The cancellation comes amidst predictions of thunderstorms and flooding in the area. However, music lovers can mark their calendars for June 14 when Les Kerr and His Bayou Band will bring their tunes to Red Caboose Park in Bellevue from 7 – 9 p.m., reports the Nashville government’s official website.

Metro Parks Music has prepared an alternate plan if the Big Band Dance set for Saturday gets a weather washout. An update on the event’s status will be posted by 4 PM on Saturday on their Facebook page and the rainout hotline, 615-862-2787, press 3. Should the show be sidelined by storms, the festivities will be moved indoors to the Lobby Center Theater, located at 2301 Rosa L. Parks Blvd., with the band being recorded and a livestream available at 7 PM Central Time on MetroParksNashvilleMusic’s YouTube page. Despite the shift, seating is limited to the first 200 guests and there won’t be space for dance enthusiasts to swing to the rhythm….
