A Wildwood man was arrested after an altercation at a mobile home.
Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called Thursday evening to the home of 24-year-old Sherman Leigh Fleming after he put another man in a chokehold and took him to the ground. Fleming and the other man had been involved in an “intense verbal argument” which escalated, according to the arrest report. The other man bit Fleming in self defense to force Fleming to release him. There was a witness to the altercation who identified Fleming as the primary aggressor.
Fleming was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of battery. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $500 bond…
