Police say alcohol factor in critical moped crash in Aiea

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Honolulu Police Department said alcohol is a factor in a moped crash that left a man in critical condition.

According to police, the crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Kamehameha Highway near Laulima Street and Aloha Stadium.

Authorities said a 54-year-old man was riding a moped on Kamehameha Highway traveling east when he lost control. He then hit the left curb on the center median, then hit a chain-link fence, and was ejected onto the roadway…
