FIRST ALERT WEATHER: More strong to severe storms possible on Monday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Strong to severe storms make a return for Monday as another First Alert Weather Day has been issued. We dry out for the middle part of the week.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies will be with us for this evening as we see temperatures fall into the 70s to start the evening. Partly cloudy skies will continue into the overnight as we see the chance of a stray shower or storm. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s to low 60s.

MONDAY: We will start Monday with cloudy skies across our area as temperatures climb into the 70s to start the day. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will then arrive, especially during the afternoon. A few storms could be on the strong to severe side with damaging winds and large hail as the main threats. This is why Monday is another First Alert Weather Day. It will be a humid day with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Scattered showers and storms will continue into the evening as we start to clear out overnight. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50s to around 60 degrees…
