NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Tennessee’s annual Free Fishing Day may have passed, but young anglers still have plenty of time to cast a line. As part of Bobby Wilson Free Fishing Week, kids 15 and under can fish without a license through Friday, June 13, in public waters across the state.
The event kicked off Saturday, June 7, with residents and visitors of all ages enjoying a license-free day of fishing. Named in honor of longtime Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) executive Bobby Wilson, the tradition is designed to introduce new generations to the outdoors.
