Peyton Prescott injury update: Florida State pitcher suddenly leaves game after emergency mound visit

Florida StateRHP Peyton Prescott was on the mound in the bottom of the seventh inning during the final game of the Corvallis Super Regional. However, he suddenly exited with an undisclosed injury.

It’s unclear at this point what caused Prescott to come out of the game against Oregon State. His catcher, head coach, and their athletic trainer were out quickly to check on him, though, before he walked back to the dugout.

“Now here comes Link Jarrett and this is not a good sign for Prescott. Looks like the athletic trainer is coming out to the mound with the head coach for the Seminoles,” they said on the broadcast on ESPN2. “Prescott looked into the dugout and, when he did, that was a signal. Something’s not right.”…
