ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for portions of central & southside Virginia while a Tornado Watch is also in effect to the northeast which includes Nelson County.
Both watches go until 10 P.M. as scattered storms will develop this afternoon through the evening with damaging wind gusts the main hazard. Some large hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out either.
