Vegetation fire breaks out in Bodfish on Saturday, contained at 6 acres: KCFD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A fire broke out near the fire station in Lake Isabella on Saturday afternoon, according to the Kern County Fire Department.

KCFD said fire crews responded to a vegetation fire burning at Lake Isabella Boulevard and Bodfish Canyon Road June 7. Flames moved quickly through dense brush toward multiple residences.

Reinforcements from KCFD, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service also responded to the scene, according to officials.
