CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Tuesday marks seven years since a James Island man was shot to death, but the case remains unsolved.
Kurt Wendell Melton, 29, was shot in the 1100 block of Greenhill Road at around 11 p.m. on the night of June 10, 2018. The sheriff’s office responded at approximately 11:21 p.m. to reports of a shooting and found Melton in a vehicle.
Melton left behind three daughters, his mother, Sonia Myers, said in 2019.
