KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Construction is underway on a new 11-hole short course and work will soon begin on a redesigned 18-hole course as the Kalamazoo Country Club expands.
The 11-hole short course at the club on Whites Road east of Oakland Drive is expected to open next spring. It will have two loops labeled Blue and Red and is meant to facilitate “shorter, faster rounds that are big on creativity and strategy,” according to a Tuesday release.
Construction will start on the new 18-hole course in August of this year and it’s expected to be ready for golfers in the spring of 2027.
The 18-hole course will be golf architect Andrew Green’s first.
“Kalamazoo is going to have a golf course that attracts membership from all over to play – not just because it’s new, but because it’s memorable,” Green said in a statement released by the club…
