Pet Patrol: Helping pets with thunderstorm anixety

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Thunderstorms have been more frequent as we transition into summer, and while we are accustomed to this pattern and it doesn’t seem like a big deal to us, storms can be a source of stress for pets.

As pet parents, we do not want our furry family members stressed out, and thunderstorms can have this effect on them. Mild symptoms include pacing, licking their paws, panting, or whining. Sometimes it is worse than that, and pets can be destructive when storms roll through because of intense fear.
