On Tuesday at 10:42 a.m. a flood advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 12:15 p.m. for the Bronx and Manhattan as well as Westchester County.
The weather service adds, “Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.”
“Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas,” explains the weather service. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.”
