ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Roanoke residents have the chance to clean out unused electronics at a free, drive-in electronic recycling event on Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will be located at the Roanoke Public Works Division parking lot, located at 1802 Courtland Rd NE, Roanoke, Va.
Residents can bring household items like electronics, such as computers, tablets, printers, monitors, phones, small appliances, and televisions.
Budget recommendations made to Roanoke City Council
Residents should not bring the following items:
- Ballasts (PCB and non-PCB)
- Batteries (including lithium batteries for power tools, yard equipment, and power banks)
- Commercial Grade Electronics, such as a copy machine
- Fluorescent lightbulbs
- Mercury switches
- Thermostats
- Thermometers
