San Diego High Choir joins rock legends ‘Foreigner’ for a night to remember

DEL MAR, Calif. — Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Foreigner will perform at the San Diego County Fair on Thursday night, joined on stage by the San Diego High School Choir. 24 members of the choir will sing alongside the legendary band during their hit song “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

Foreigner, known for their extensive catalog of hits including “Juke Box Hero” and “Hot Blooded,” has been inviting local choirs to perform with them for over 15 years as part of their efforts to support arts education.

“We just want to make people aware of the lack of funding for school music programs,” said Kelly Hansen, Foreigner’s lead singer. “The budgets have been cut so severely, the first things to go are arts and music.”…
