A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Monday at 4:15 p.m. EDT for strong thunderstorms until 5 p.m. EDT for Van Buren and Kalamazoo counties.
The storms are anticipated to bring wind gusts of up to 40 mph and penny-sized hail (0.75 inches).
“At 4:14 p.m., Doppler radar tracked strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles east of Hartford to 8 miles west of Decatur to near Dowagiac. Movement was northeast at 45 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.”…
