FOLSOM, Calif. — An incarcerated man has been sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for murdering two inmates at California State Prison, Sacramento, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Nicholas Mangelli was convicted on April 29 for two counts of first-degree murder with the special circumstance of already being found guilty of first-degree murder on both counts, the office said Monday in a news release.
On May 30, 2019, officials said Mangelli approached the first victim and stabbed him approximately 15-20 times in the head and chest with a makeshift weapon. The victim was taken to medical services, where they were pronounced dead about 15 minutes later…
