The City of Fort Worth has been awarded a $5 million PRO-Housing (Pathways to Reducing Obstacles to Affordable Housing) grant to help address growing concerns about housing affordability across the city.
As Fort Worth continues to grow rapidly, driven by job opportunities and new residents, the availability of affordable housing has become an increasing challenge. Many families are struggling to find homes they can afford, especially in high-demand neighborhoods. This pressure has contributed to displacement in lower-income areas and made it difficult for some residents to balance housing costs with other essentials.
In response, Fort Worth has committed to implementing long-term solutions through the development of new policies and strategies.
