ST. LOUIS — A power outage at St. Louis Lambert International Airport on Sunday was traced back to an unexpected culprit: a Mylar balloon.
In a statement, Ameren said the power outage happened at 11:14 a.m. Sunday when a Mylar balloon made contact with equipment at an Ameren substation that provides electricity to the airport.
