Governor’s mansion arson suspect transported back to Camp Hill correctional institute

CAMP HILL, Pa. — Cody Balmer, the man accused of starting a fire at the Pa. governor’s mansion in Harrisburg, has been transported back to State Correctional Institute Camp Hill after spending some time in a correctional institute in Wayne County beginning April 27.

According to the Associated Press on May 25, Balmer’s lawyer reported Balmer was receiving mental health treatment, and his lawyer was asking to push back his court date to make sure he was mentally fit for the event.

On April 27, Balmer was transported to a state correctional facility in Waymart. According to the facility’s website it houses a forensic treatment center that is, “the focal point for the treatment of all psychological inmates within the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.”…
